Incompetence
Trotta has shown time and time again, he does not want to protect the children of Suffolk County. He went so far as to vote against measures to protect children from sex offenders. In 2018, Trotta was the only legislator to oppose funding a public safety rapid response project to "streamline and centralize emergency responses to K-12 schools." Trotta even voted against establishing a School Traffic Zone Safety Commission.
If Trotta won't vote to protect our children from sex offenders and school shooters, what else will he vote against? We need a legislator who cares about the safety of our children in Suffolk County.
Think that's the end of the list? Not even close. Trotta has voted against the creation of new health centers, ADA-compliant entrances for the elderly and disabled (multiple times!), and cleaning up our public parks of toxic waste.
For most of us, protecting our children, assisting our elderly and disabled, keeping our parks safe seem like a no-brainer. Not for Trotta. We need to restore common sense within our legislature.
